We were told my FIL's open heart surgery would be a breeze. No one seemed worry. Recovery would be hard. He didn't make it to recovery. 😭😭😭

My mom is going to have triple bypass surgery tomorrow. The doctors said that her heart is currently functioning at %40 capacity (if I understood correctly). Does this equate to heart is weak?

They wanted to do surgery on me and we opted for 4 stents and I’m doing great. I went from less than 30% function to 50% even with the whole bottom half side that died.

Truth the EKG can usually get the necessary info but survival rate during recovery from a massive surgery with infections and other factors bring down the survival rate
