this is where scrivener comes in handy. you can pull up your scene card on one side and write on the other. I love it

So true — when in car if you hear songs that go with story set up playlist of those songs— then listen to those songs — over and over to go over scenes

I find that summarising scenes in bullet points helps too. I write these down in my notes app on my phone. Most start as 2/3 sentences but over time can be a paragraph telling me what happens in the scene and what is the purpose of said scene. So when I then sit down at the laptop I have scenes ready to write with all the information I need. Saves so much time for me.
