It’s heavily dependent on the state. The shortage is mostly in the south east because we don’t have unions

In Houston the shortage is so bad you can legit break your contract in one district and get hired in another one within a week 😭 I’ve watched it happen multiple times

Hang in there! Most districts make their first hires for the next year picking experienced teachers that have just moved there or looking to move schools but there will be openings for new teachers!!
