simply ask her, “how do you think that makes me feel? Are you trying to hurt me?” I told my mom years ago to never comment on my weight ever again. luckily even with dementia she never has since.

I’m a nurse and had a patient who had recently lost 100lb. He had afib and OSA & the drs kept coming in w/o reading his chart and telling him he needed to lose weight and eat healthier etc 1/2

I have a grandma very similar, told me I was too fat for my body when I was 10 years old and then got angry when I declined dessert that night. She’s the first one to comment on my “weird diet” now.
