@culinaryscrolls: Crispy calabrian shrimp over a vodka pasta. For the shrimp: 1lb shrimp (seasonings 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp italian seasoning, 1/2 tsp paprika, salt and pepper to taste) 2 c flour 3 tbsp cornstarch 1/2 tsp garlic powder Season the shrimp, mix flour, cornstarch, and garlic powder. Take 1/2 c of that mix and add to a seprate bowl. Add 5oz of water to the 1/2 c flour/cornstarch mix. Add water little by little until it is a pancake batter consitency. You dont want it too thin. Add shrimp to batter then dip into dry flour mixture. Fry on both sides 2-3 min each side until golden. Toss in a calabrian chili glaze. Calabrian chili glaze: 1 tbsp calabrian chilis + 2-3 tbsp honey. Adjust to your level of spice tolerance. Vodka sauce 1/2 small onion 2-3 garlic cloves 6oz can tomato paste 1 tsp Calabrian chilis 2-3 tbsp vodka 1 1/4 c heavy cream 1/4 c pasta water or water 1-2 tbsp butter 1/4 c parmesan cheese 1/4 tsp chicken bouillon powder S&P to taste Add onion saute a few minutes, add garlic cook 1-2 min. Add tomato paste and cook 5 minutes until it becomes a deeper red color. Add vodka and cook 2-4 minutes more.
