Unless you have operated a big boat or been on one you will know there is a lot of blind spots it’s very easy to hit someone while in the water that’s why when you snorkel or dive you have a flag up

I was taught whether I’m tubing, wakeboarding, or fall off my jetski if there’s boats nearby to wake your hands and splash so they see you, it’s hard to see things in the water

On our lake, if I am on a JetSki and I see someone in the water waiting for their boat to get to them, I always idle around them to shield them

When you wake board ski or surf you don’t need flag boaters need to be aware at all times so sad 😳

If I fall on a board or skis I hold the board up in the air. Ideally a jetski friend is tailing behind too. I also don’t like to wakeboard or ski during peak busy times and when it’s more crowded.

Blame the ski boat captain- not 100% on this poor guy. The ski boat captain should NOT have been towing in a heavy traffic area.

Having a flag is so so important. it let's others know there's a person in the water. Unless you've been on a big boat it's VERY possible he didnt know he hit her. especially if he was cruising.

Boat safety is SO important. Make yourself seen until you’re picked up and flaggers need to be present when there are people in the water. Stay vigilant at all times!

Obviously an accident but if you are in that close proximity to other boats towing people, you should not be going to fast and be so unaware that you don’t see a person with a wakeboard on.
