Hi - just a bit of advice, use bottled filtered water in your ice machine or it will damage the machine!

I am on my second one of this machine. If you have hard water, make sure to descale it monthly. My first one died in just under 2 years 🥺

I have the same ice maker and noticed it only does it when the bucket moves the switch in the back, maybe tape it closed so it doesn’t know you opened it?

You can set it to not make ice! :) I’ve had two different ones, the OG Opal and now the KitchenAid. It slowwwwllyyyy melts but you’d have for half of shabbos!
