Trying to get a response from several servicemen about this : would you still recommend people enlist during everything going on right now? The administration is dismantling our government, attempting to turn the USA into a fascist regime, and ICE is out of control. My husband and I are both currently planning to enlist in the USAF reserves within the next 6m but every single day the pres/administration does something more insane, and we have two kids to think about. Our kids are the main reason we want to do this, so we can both get our educations and get civ cyber jobs; I doubt we’d ever see combat but like…are you worried? Can you address this further? I’m SO conflicted rn because I have always wanted to join and I have my chance now, but the gov is going insane.

All new mandatory uniforms are issued at no cost. $1000 cost to government is usually for initial set up of maybe 3 to 5 pairs. Mo thly uniform pay is to maintain them and buy replacements as needed

When they switched the Air Force uniforms from the old ABUs to the new OCPs, my husband just volunteered to deploy in part to get the new uniform issued to him for free

You can always get supply to order them! Good luck getting them to actually do it, but if they change the uniforms, you’re supposed to get one for free through supply & you only pay for alterations 😭
