BUT…the way Piper Rayne wrapped this up, brought us full circle right back to Tweetie Sorenson was perfect. I couldn’t have imagined a better story to bring this series to a close than Tweetie and Teddies ❤️ We see snippets of Tweetie throughout the series (they are all interconnected but can be read separately) and we know he’s the fun , playful playboy of the team. Revolving door of one night stands, Instagram full of lavish parties and nights out. But the truth is that it’s all a front for a broken heart he’s been nursing for the last three years when the best thing he’s ever had ended and left him aching for her in ways he never thought possible. Teddie…strong, loveable…head of the team that handles social media for hockey teams. She’s had her fair share of trouble in relationships, causing her to be very cautions…very guarded. And that’s part of why she finds herself buried deep in her work for the last 3 years. Trying to push all thoughts of the man who stole her heart out of her mind and move on. But…fate has other plans. Teddies boss lets her know she’s headed to Chicago to handle social media for the Falcons…Tweeties team. And everything comes crashing down. She’s determined to keep her distance and stay away. Not wanting to get her heart broken again. But the minute these two are in the same place, all bets are off. Their feelings come rushing back just as strong if not stronger than 3 years ago and Tweetie is determined to win her back no matter what. This story was painful. That kind of pain you felt when you love someone SO MUCH but you know you can’t be together for whatever reason. The ONE. I felt the pain…the longing….the way they both NEEDED each other in a way that was beyond love…beyond lust…beyond anything that either of them could understand or deny. The journal entries were *chefs kiss* I loved being able to see and FEEL exactly what they were going through in the moment. It was perfection. I don’t even know what to say. I’m still kind of speechless about the whole book because it was THAT GOOD. And I don’t think this series could have ended any other way. The surprise at the end just wrapped it up in a nice little bow that had me sobbing into my kindle at 3am. I loved it.
