My son's ice hockey stick was broken when flying to Nationals in April. TSA will not allow them as a carry-on so we had no choice. United wouldnt refund us. 😡 I cant believe there not other options

Unbelievable, my son’s high school baseball bags contents are valued over $1200, can’t imagine golf at college level!

I don’t see that as bad. I was a handler and you don’t have much time to load aircraft. I would doubt that they could be damaged for the handling they had.

Not sure how that would’ve damaged any clubs. Golf clubs are strong & in a case. Also, not sure why they always refer to the ramp as a tarmac lol. Just a little pet peeve of mine. Knock it off!! 😂

When I traveled for tournaments I used to wrap the irons in bubble wrap and stuff as many towels as possible just for this exact reason

Flew Allegiant once and bags were left in the rain while we waited to board when we got to destination we went to counter and we got $200 vouchers for flight and $75 for luggage eachthere was 4 of us

Every airline does this I had new luggage and three out of the four were ripped when I picked them up in baggage claim, brand new double stroller all scratched and had a rip in it too, crazy!!

Looks like pretty standard bag handling for any airline. They don’t seem to be treating those bags any worse than others. I know to carry on what I don’t want damaged. Unftly cant do that with clubs

we went to a pool tournament in Vegas once a put our cues in a travel golf bag for protection. they got treated the same way.

This is common place. I travel with a hard case made of 100% abs plastic, heads off my adjustable woods and hybrid, and my irons triple wrapped in towel. Tennis rackets are carry-on only.

JetBlue rejected my claim saying it wasn’t in a hard shell bag even though I showed the JetBlue agent at the airport the hard shell bag

I don’t agree with how bags are handled in general, on all airlines, but now these two guys could lose their jobs for this. All airlines handle this way.
