I’ve had to tell my mother who I love very much, that she will not scream at my dad infront of the kids bc they will think they don’t have to respect him, like I did as a kid bc of her.

my mother always tried to demand respect and love but never gave it so she is no longer a part of my life my dad always earned respect and love and so I never talked back to my dad unless he was wrong or overly angry in which he tells me to tell him when he is like that
