@livinginhamilton: Here’s what you NEED to know ⤵️ Moving to Hamilton in 2018 was not in my life plans. I was born and raised in Toronto and that’s all I knew. But I knew I wanted to buy my first home and that the GTA market was not going to give me the affordable starter home I needed. We were outgrowing our space and needed to upsize. I crunched the numbers on how much my family and I spent while renting for the last 3 years and I’m telling you if you do this math it will be a tough pill to swallow. So after crunching the numbers and speaking to a local real estate agent and mortgage agent we were confident in starting the process of looking for our next home. We looked at neighbouring areas but couldn’t find anything that had a backyard, the modern features and finishes, and convenient location like the homes in Hamilton. It was a no brainer decision to move and after visiting the city and viewing a few homes we made the decision to put in an offer and it got accepted. Now 6 years later I can easily say it was one of the best decisions of our lives. We’ve made great friends, have so much fun experiences, and have been able to build wealth through the equity we gained from our property. So if you are a Mom thinking of moving out of the GTA you should strongly consider Hamilton as there is so much this city has to offer!
