@Mark DeCola are you using Mopar parts off of a 2018 or is there someone that makes these kits? We are doing a couple of these lifter jobs a month. Please do a follow up video.

You said it, better performance and emissions sacrifices reliability. It's a delicate balance to make progress without making utter junk.

I don't think hydraulic lifters should effect reliability. not saying they don't in this case but that's a design/production issue

What’s interesting is Navistar used the same hydraulic lifters from the 6.9 idi through the 6.4 and even the 6.7 psd has them. But yet you don’t see them having as many issues as the new Cummins is

You will have to put the 5th gen timing cover on 4th gen motor if you still running 5th gen electronics. The 5th gen cam and crank sensor will not fit the 4th gen cover. Also, CP3 adapter if converted

Someone needs to explain why CAT filters are better than fleetguard. Cat doesn’t make filters. Cummins literally owns a company that makes filters.

I have a 2019 Cummins change my oil every 5,000 miles use 10w30 or 5w40 no issues. People aren’t changing their oil correctly and using 15w40 that’s the lifter issue.

What would really make sense is that they would just make a tilt front end so you could actually work on it.
