@tessareneetr: Tell me the good vs the bad for Dumbbell Overhead Press form!!!! Left Side: Proper Form • Knees are slightly bent to influence proper alignment of the back, core engagement, and protection of the knees. • Shoulder blades are pulling down together, creating space between the shoulders and the neck. • The movement is slow and controlled. • Hip bones are facing forward with the core fully engaged. Right Side: Bad Form • Knees are locked out/straight influencing arching of the back, pressure in the knees, and lack of engagement of the core. • Shoulders are rising up to the neck preventing engagement of the back. • The movement is fast, and majority just the bending and straightening of the elbow joints.
