The sound design, the music, the lighting, the silence. Every detail matters, especially in the movies filmmakers like Scorsese make. Thought goes into every little thing. What emotion is being projected and how can it be captured as purely as possible. Of course, each audience member is going to feel something different based on the life they’ve lived. But from the filmmakers perspective, it’s about staying as truthful as possible during each step of the process and doing whatever possible to convey that. That’s the beauty of it. But the detail… So much respect. This one quick clip gives an insight that isn’t frequently talked about. I mean, think about the amount of movies coming out right now that have no vision. That feel shallow. Cookie-cutter. No fucking soul. And this is so motivating because everyone has a vision and unique way of expressing. It’s just in the action that learn how to more effectively.
