I’ve heard horror stories of people putting remote start in cars with manual transmissions. It’s possible but they got pinned between the car and garage. Lost both leg because the car was in gear.

yes but if you have a aftermarket system you have to make sure it’s in neutral because if it’s not most aftermarket systems can’t tell if it’s in gear or not and it can make the engine just die or

The way I think of it I think the reason why they don’t have remote start is because you would have to press in the clutch -

It is possible. My buddy has a manual with a remote start you just need to leave it in neutral and rely on the park brake instead.

Aftermarket always has a bypass. But still risky. Up to u to leave it in neutral

Why couldn’t you? They could have something in the ECU that depresses the clutch when you start it via the remote. Then when you get it it’ll tell you to depress the pedal and push the start.

you can do remote starts on manual cars, you could even add it to that one just gotta bypass the clutch on start up

I work at a car dealership, and I have seen one trade in with manual + remote start, it was a Mazda 3 but it was an after market remote starter, pretty sure it just had to be in neutral
