@nicholelynn_: This stage of life is about finding my peace 🫶🏼 For 7 years, teaching was my ENTIRE identity. When asked to introduce myself it was always, “Hi. My name is Nichole. I’m a 3rd grade teacher.” Much like an athlete is bound to their sport, I was to my job and I didn’t know who I was without it. Truly. It’s the only version of myself that I knew at the time. As the years progressed, life changing situations arose and taught me that life is far too short to be living in mediocrity. I’ve never be okay with mediocre and that didn’t exclude my profession. Like many teachers, I loved the work I did, and I loved my kids but at what cost? I was at a point in my life where I had to really think through my priorities and my family being at the very top. I knew how exhausted I felt coming home from work every single day. Some days I didn’t even have the energy for my husband .. what about our future kids? It was in that moment that I knew I HAD to find a way to be home and soak up every moment of our future life. So let me reintroduce myself .. “Hi. My name is Nichole.
