In absolute, there isn’t one…how you do a push-up should depend on 1) the reason you’re doing a push-up to being with, 2) your prior experience with push-ups, and 3) your skill and degree of comfort with various push-up techniques. Pressing with a wider arm path simply does something different from pressing with a narrow path. Choose the most appropriate option for you and your goals, not the option that some dude on the internet arbitrarily told you to do!
