Why was Louise kept awake? I also had a similar experience but once the epidural started wearing off, they put me under. My internal organs were on the outside of my body 🫢

Birth Trauma Coach | Arinola :
oh this is extremely traumatising listening to Louise. I still cry and fingers when I talk about my birth trauma that left me ptsd for over 7 years. The epidural stopped blocking after they topped it up for the third time, I was already having sepsis, I asked for another pain killer, no one answered even when they rushed me to the theatre for emergency csection after several hours. When I complained that I could feel all the pain of cutting my tummy open, no one believed me until it was too late! GA resulted in coma, lost my voice, 1 year therapy, over 7 year ptsd that left me dependent on med after the controlled med to restore my voice backfired. 5 years after, they found out that my uterus and bladder were sutured during the emergency. I was told "they did everything they could to save the baby first 🤦♀️It took my over 7 years to have the courage to speak about my story, and I hope other mums going through this would come out and share their story.

Just to say not all c sections are bad. Feel like this is very scary for moms to be! Mine was great. Maybe I was lucky but not heard any horror stories in my group either

I can resonate with every word.. Louise is extremely brave to be talking about it out loud. I'm four years on and still can't bring myself to discuss with family what actually went on in theatre.

I remember thinking I had died after childbirth, natural delivery but 2.4 litres of blood loss went to operating theatre and while being worked on kept passing out, was peaceful but eerie.

I was emergency C, it took me years to get past my PTSD, and I never knew that’s what was happening to me, I didn’t bond, I got extremely depressed and nervous breakdown, it’s no joke.

WHAT the Hell?? NONE of that happened with my caesarean. don’t get me wrong. It was a horror story for me as well, but after the epidural and the actual cesarean those were the best parts.🦋

This is how I felt before my emergency caesarean, except I was put to sleep. I begged my anaesthetist not to let me die. I woke up thinking I’d died. So scary.

This! This was me, you’re incredible for going through that. I’m forever traumatised from it and I thought If I closed my eyes I’d go so I told my partner to keep shaking me awake. It’s horrible. Xxxx
