Were you not offered the ballot paper template and the free phone number to use? Presiding officer here, we were given a lot of detail for visually impaired.

Took my dad who is in a wheelchair and all the booths were above his head so he could t lean on anything so they cleared a table for him and he had to vote in full view of everyone.

Orla I agree , I voted for the first time and they just were like “but you don’t look blind” 🙈😭 like a but of cop on do they know what a hidden disability is 😭 SHOCKINGLY BAD

My polling stationhas a ramp outside but 3 steps down into the hall! Not good for me that uses a mobility aid. Had to bring someone with me to lift the rollator over the steps and help me on steps

That’s awful ): we had the opposite yesterday, my brother has intellectual disabilities and the workers were so lovely and allowed mum to help me to ensure he got to vote regardless , so sorry 💔
