Doing flat bench and deads over age 50 is a bad idea. Not great exercises if you want to avoid injury. Much better options for the same gains.

BS. I’ve competed in UK strongman competitions in the 90’s and have squatted and dead lifted more than most. I’m now 63 years old and my back is shagged. I’m still training however and less than 10%
