I volunteer at my kids school to do things for the teachers. you need copies of anything, I got it. bind books? done. cut outs? okay.

Some people can’t just up and quit or change professions because the profession they’re in is all they know. My fiancé wants so bad to get out of trucking but it’s all he knows. He can’t just go work in an office with people after driving truck for 14 years on his own. Teaching is similar in my opinion

Non-teacher here. I also think there is something to the “strict” teacher of 20 yrs 🤷🏽♀️They set boundaries & didn’t play, period. Was class fun? LOL NOPE! Did I learn the most from them? YEP!

As a mom it’s also almost impossible to leave and give up the same schedule as my own kids. Especially when my daycare for my youngest is through the school 🫠 mom guilt and teacher guilt together 😭

I left teaching this last school year. It took me three years to process the guilt before feeling “okay” to leave. It’s a complicated process.

my mom is a teacher and she loved teaching before she came to my school. She does it for us, for her students. It's really stressful. they just don't get payed enough for what they have to deal with.

Had a meeting if daycare people. Woman said she was a provider cause she had a calling for the children. I said I also had a calling. My mortgage was calling. My car note was calling. ❤️Kids have bill
