@caz.beauty: @The Ordinary Retinal 0.2% Emulsion My experience: 👕 Leaves slightly yellowish tint to the skin / stains white fabrics (can be washed out) 😬 Used as instructed, may have made a mistake using it too often once or twice after a while 🫠 Dry, flaking, very uncomfortable skin unless occlusive layer like vaseline on it around mouth (skin was like this for weeks. Every product stung.) Was torn between wanting to use SPF to protect the area, but also wanting to slow down the peeling using vaseline. I wanted to avoid any hyperpigmentation from skin damage in both regards. 💢 Spots on neck possibly from the retinal? (Never normally have spots on neck. After a couple weeks stopping using it, spots went away) 💪 I'm not new to #retinal , I have used many others in the past, although this may be one of the stronger ones I've used. I was aware this was ordinarys strongest one and only advised for experienced retinal users. ✉️ After everything stated above was Emailed to the ordinary team, they only advised to discontinue and ask a medical professional if I need help healing it. They promptly refunded me without me asking them to which was nice. 😥 To be honest, I was expecting more help / knowledge on the retinization topic, as well as spf dilemma. So I'm not going to lie I was a little bit disappointed in the lack luster reply. I understand it's in their best interest to just tell me to stop using it and that's it so they're not liable if I continued and anything went wrong, but in my situation right now with traveling, I can't go to my doctor to get professional advice. This was the first time my skin has ever been effected so much by any skincare, so I'm not going to lie, I was quite worried feeling like I have to figure this out alone. 🤍 Its been over a month since I stopped using this product, and my skin is still healing. It is now comfortable, but definitely still light peeling. I am still unsure if I should be using SPF or not, but I'm planning on giving my skin as much time as I can without SPF incase it irritates it more since I'm not getting much sun exposure atm anyway. Be careful with retinoids! 🤍 #retinoid #retinization #damagedskinbarrier
