Sleep training is essential. People seem to think it's cruel. It's not if you do it kindly

my biggest advice is start when they're very young. my almost 1 year old sleeps thru the night and we had him on a strict schedule since he was a newborn. started sleeping through the night by 4m

Curious, do those who sleep train understand that they don’t learn to settle, they just learn no one is coming? Studies show cortisol is just as high.

So great you’re sharing this, I’m not sure why people shame on sleep training. Imagine not sleeping the night for 365 days… your doing what’s best for you both ❤️

So sleep training is letting them cry it out till they fall asleep? Or am I missing something else?

This is why I did it at 5 months… she cried for 20 minutes for one night (we checked in on her every 5 minutes) and now she barely cries to go to sleep

Well done! Sleep training is absolutely necessary for their development (and mums sanity) at that age.

That’s why you never put baby in bed with you to avoid this. They need their own bed from the start, & would be sleeping through the night a lot earlier..

I tried everything before sleep training because letting my baby cry killed me. once I switched, it took like 3 nights and she's been good ever since 🙏🏻

I imagine it’s so hard when a mom wakes up in the middle of the night and has to tame her mood to be in the right set to calm down her baby

We sleep trained at 3 months old and my son has been an amazing sleeper ever since and it’s been a god send because I have been able to sleep through the night and he is still so happy and dependent
