She finds comfort in her bed or her crate. She has a healthy appetite and loves a high value snack like cheese every once in a while. She still strugggles with nervousness when getting her out of crate to go potty, however, once outside she does her business with no problems. We spend a little more time each day outside. The first couple of days she would shake almost the entire time outside and want to go inside immediately. Now, she is content lying in the grass in the sun, smelling all the smells and listening to all the spring sounds. She has met both a male and female dog of ours. She had no problems with them sniffing her. She wasn’t too interested in our male dog but she gets more and more interested in the female everyday (not crazy interested but sniffing her and wagging her tail at her on multiple occasions). Outside, they sniff each other but then do their own thing. I think she would do best with a calm dog adult or senior dog or one that can sense her nervousness and guide her calmly or just leave her be. She doesn’t bark or whine. She is comfortable just snoozing away in “her” room. She tries to be brave and venture away from her safe spots (bed and crate) but she hasn’t made it out of the room on her own yet but that’s our next goal. She did great at the vet - probably nerves mostly - but she didn’t whine, cry, or try to get away from the doctor. A perfect patient. Honey would be a perfect and low key companion for a family.
