This is the exact reason I don't use JEGS. Same thing happened about 6 years ago when I built my 360 FE with an Edelbrock cam.

you don't have to leave the air in there after you pull the spring off put a zip tie on the valve stim

@MakeShiftGarage You’ve been there. Merkel racing. He keeps springs in stock. And use the air and the wrap rubber bands around both valve stems to hold them in place after you take off the air

use compressed air to hold the valves closed once you have the springs off ziptie the valve stem to keep them from falling down. once you going to install the new springs used the compressed air again
