@djsackmann: Want more "And One" opportunities? 👀👇 Try utilizing a shot fake more often, especially off of the bounce. This not only will help you get stopped and under control giving you better balance, but if the defense bites on the shot fake you can pick up a foul call too. #HoopStudy

Hi Grandma, Just thought I’d drop you a line to tell you how things are going. I took Grandpa on an adventure last year. We went to DC. He met your congressman. He gave Grandpa a flag that was flown at the Capitol. We were with a group of vets from various conflicts, but Grandpa got special treatment. So many people wanted pictures with him, especially at the WW2 memorial. An older Australian woman took his hand and gave the most simple and sincere thank you I’ve ever heard. You’d have been proud to be his wife. I hadn’t seen him with that much attention since riding with the Sheriff’s Posse in the Rose Parade decades ago. I check in on him from time to time. Not enough. I wish you guys had moved closer to us when you came back from Texas. A six hour drive makes it difficult to get here quickly or frequently. You’ll be glad to know that Michelle checks on him a few times a week. She comes over every Sunday, puts clean sheets on the bed, makes sure the house is tidy, that there’s food in the fridge. He always cleans the place up before she arrives. He stays as busy as his legs will let him. He was replanting a sapling in the backyard when I drove up the other day. 96 and ripping up sod. Makes a man shake his head. I got him out of the house yesterday. I wheeled him around a country music festival. We had a hard time getting to the actual show with all the people stopping us to shake his hand, especially women. Young, beautiful women. I don’t know what goes through the mind of a 96 year old man Grandma, I’ll tell you this: I overheard one of the women exclaim, “76 years!” You would have been married 76 years a month ago. In his mind, you are. That’s why I chose this weekend to visit Grandma. I wasn’t sure if he’d remember that today is one year you’ve been gone. When I called y’all on your 75th to wish you happy anniversary, neither one of you remembered. I heard you both away from the receiver, “is…is that today?” and Grandpa say, “by god it is!” Well, he remembers Grandma. I got up this morning after him. He handed me a cup of coffee and then said, “gotta water Grandma’s plants.” He remembers. We all do. Miss you and love you.
