@jeremiahimarwa: WATCH || Combat Life Saver. Bloemfontein Emergency Care Training Satellite (BECTS) based at Tempe Military Base, Free State, held another successful Combat Lifesaver (CLS) course over the period of 03 to 14 June 2024. The course of 15 members comprised two pilots, five 500 Squadron members, and eight 1 Tactical Intelligence Regiment members. The course aims to equip members through multiple simulation exercises, skills such as the use of tourniquets and haemostatic agents to stop bleeding which they will experience in real-life battlefield conditions. The course culminated in a field exercise with drone footage for better evaluation of the battle space. This furthermore enabled the expertise of the 1 Tactical Intelligence members to come into play to allow for tactical movement for Care Under Fire, Tactical Field Care and Tactical Evacuation. All the students were appreciative of the invaluable skills taught in the course as this would better prepare them as they prepare for external deployments.
