keep the brake cleaner. you can clean the engine and engine bay with it. Will be a decent de greaser in general.

brake cleaner is liquid gold will keep grease and oil round the engine at a minimum

wouldn't of said it septic tank.. narrow boats tend to have cassette tanks.. if anything it's water tank.. I'd remove it anyway a replacement with plastic tank..

Looks like an old water/fuel tank, probably add some balast if you remove it

the brake cleaner will be useful for cleaning oily stuff. Top tip: get a big bag to throw rubbish into as you pull it off to avoid double handling.
