I owned a puppy with rage syndrome, had her for about 10 years, we managed best we could. I've got scars from that girl, but I loved her so much.

Not sure I'm asking in the right place, but when my dog gets the zoomies he almost always goes for my cat. He's not aggressive in a mean way, but he tries to engage her in play. Is this different?

I think my dog had this. we got him from the humane society that told us he had no behavior issues. withing 5 months he bit 4 people including my husband and his mom as well as a few friends. after seeking guidance from vets, trainers and the shelter, we ended up putting him down. didnt find out until later that he did have aggressive behavior and they lied to us about it. we love him. he was a sweet boy. we wish there was more we could do.

Do other animals suffer from this? if so, imagine those ppl with pet tigers, lions, and elephants, oh my. also why, if this is a real syndrome, are humans immune to such random uncontrolled aggression?

sometimes caused by epilepsy or tumors in the brain, which is why it's important to take your dog to the vet when things like this happen

This is more common in big dog breeds such as, German Shepherds, St Bernards, Bernese Mountain dogs, Dobermans, and especially Spaniels which is why some call it spaniel rage.

I know someone whose dog had this. He was her best friend and she did what she could for him but he had become too unpredictable and she had to do what no pet owner ever wants to do. It’s really devastating.
