Not a nerd on these areas earthquakes happen all the time buildings and structures are built to withstand these stuff so generally is Prob safer to be on the bridge then not on the bridge

Not an ideal place to stop during an earthquake, but if they kept going they would rock side to side and probably crash, so staying on was way safer. Also the bridge is built to withstand earthquakes
