@lisaremillard: #gunregulation #supremecourt #domesticviolenceawareness #bruen Court issues major ruling in gun regulation case. They say YES it IS LEGAL to restrict gun possession of someone with a domestic violence restraining order. The majority opinion clarifies the landmark Bruen test
So does this mean anything in terms of felons..? In certain cases..?

The real issue is that a civil domestic violence case can remove second amendment rights without due process.

Thomas is right in my opinion. Do I like the idea of Rahimi having a weapon of any kind? No. But I personally wouldn’t trade liberty for security ever.

That means that the supreme court is no longer serving the people and protecting the constitution if they are attempting to circumvent it.

gun control only works on people that actually follow the law haha. It's easy for criminals to get a gun. thus dies absolutely nothing. I see it every day as a cop. felons always have a way.

It makes sense, but if judges don’t understand things set in place, like the bruens test, maybe more guidance should be given when they’re established…and some kind of constant training for judges.

the problem is that it is (and absolutely should be) possible to get a restraining order with no evidence. it should be very easy to get a restraining order but not very easy to take someone's rights.
