Lost my mom April 2024, and my paternal grandma and bonus son January 2025 (not the same day three weeks apart) so I'm dealing with, trying to cope and reliving the day after each one because thats when a new me was developing but I'm here just a little broken and trying to put pieces back together 😢

Does anybody speak about the grief of a loved one, bit they are still alive? I'm a mother that grieves my son that is alive that chooses to not have a relationship with me bc of a past of my own, but it's a PAST. Clean and sober for almost 4 years now. My memories of him are with me daily. Holidays, birthdays without him are painful. Grieving someone while they are alive is still the same grief, but hurts deeper for me bc he is still here on earth and that hurts deep 💔 😢
