1) When watching this episode I was initially annoyed but truly thinking about it we are seeing the first stages of a flood form taking place not an established flood so it being slow makes sense

A parte fue infección por Esporas, no por una Vaina. Si mal no recuerdo en el lore se explica que cuando es infección por esporas el comportamiento del flood es más errático, similar a un “zombie”

Yall realize that there were not infection forms so they couldn’t turn into the flood we know right away. Like Ship Master said “1 flood spore can destroy a whole planet.” So yea it took time for it to spread and well I theorized the old Lady we see with what that girls name is either a gravemind or a proto gravemind that is somewhere else in the universe likely on the halo ring with Chief. In the games the covenant releases infection forms that’s why it spreaded so quickly.

when the infestation starts as spore based it is alot slower, we are just used to seeing it as already a combat state/full on infection forms. it's like when ancient humans found the flood it take

I think the instant biomass transformation makes perfect sense in a video game, but a more gradual physical change is better for tv.
