no! you need to cut back the insulation higher up and use the string to peel it back so you avoid nicking the cables with the knife

Never score with a knife!!! Use the scoring tool on the crumpet or use the pull string and cut clean. Seen so many shorts due to scoring pairs.

simple tricks I once learned to memorize the sequence .. the blue and the brown are always the same. you either split the green, or split the orange. White always to first pin, clip faces away from U.
