Do. ot just take iodine supplements. I thought I was low on iodine and took some, I ended up with graves disease when I stopped. Upon research I'm not the only person. Don't do it

My dad’s mom would swab his throat with iodine for sore throat. Later in life his dr asked when he had a tonsillectomy- he never had a tonsillectomy 😳

I have iodine deficiency. I was on thyroid medication till I quit and took iodine supplement drops, no longer have hypothyroidism! but I do have lump in my thyroid nodule.

So I’ve had my right side of thyroid taken out do to thyroid cancer, have Hashimoto’s disease, so always a chance my body will attack the left side, currently out of thyroxine due to insurance mess up
