Idk why but my dm despises ranger and whenever we talk about it he always says you can get better results from a ranged fighter and that rangers are useless.

incredible, my core ability is a concentration spell para deals 1d6, not only that, but this damage evolves to what ? 3d6 ? how fun... u could at least have give them both the spells at lvl 1+

the new stuff sounds good, but it's not 5e.. just say it's 5.5 or something so that way all the online resources will stop overwriting 5e rules confusing the game.
