I'm been studying English, later Swedish and other indo-european languages. As a finnish person I had to say, in the very beginning those gender related pronouns felt really perverted.

indonesia only has one word for pronoun “dia” and it’s still the most homophobic nation… i think this only works in society with pre existing gendered pronouns
