Officiating in the WNBA is a legit joke. They just pick random people off the street and tell them they’re officiating a basketball game that day…

I think the refs are as much against Clarke as the players. She gets some ridiculous calls against her every game.

This is the same rule that is in the nba to stop harden from leaning into defenders too. They just don’t call it consistently but this is a good call

didn't they recently change this rule? if the offensive player jumps unnaturally to force a foul it's offensive. the harden rule. love CC and respect her talent but the replay is clearly OF to me

Although I don’t like when offensive players like James harden and Luka jump into an opponent to draw fouls… Clark clearly didn’t do that, she jumped straight up… definitely defensive foul

If it wasn’t Clark people would be saying correct call . This is the same rule that you can’t lean into the defensive player while shooting to make contact . You clearly see Clark lean hard right

Everyone that doesnt even watch basketball crying “this why wnba is trash”. This was a rule change in the NBA as well. If shooter obviously initiates contact they call it on them.

I think they’re saying it was an offensive foul because CC leaned forward into the defensive player. I don’t know the rulebook, but I feel like it shouldn’t matter bc contact was gonna happen anyway

That's a good call ... The only time it isn't is if the offensive player jumps directly in front of the shooter, and the shooter goes straight up to try and bait the and-1. CC went sideways into the D

Kobe did this all day he would wait for you to jump then shoot if you came forward he would draw the foul

The defender was going to hit her regardless, but you can’t deny Clark threw her shoulder into the defender. If she just lets the defender fall on her it’s 3 FTs.

The WNBA hasn’t put out those memos yet. Jordan rules are in effect. if they want to profit if they don’t, then let this one slip through the cracks

I think that people should stop leaning into a defender that’s going for a shot block. If they hit you foul, but don’t go putting that shoulder into someone that’s in motion

I think politics have infected the WNBA. Some of these calls and no calls are so obvious and blatant, something’s going on

WNBA worried that if players like Clark bring in income the nba will stop paying their way. And when Clark or the like are not there the wnba will fail, like it has been since the start.
