You can also get a 8mm drill bit that’s 30cm long and use that first it’s Less likely to blow then go in from other side

Just drill through the render next time or go through with a very small masonry and then you will have somewhat of an idea where to drill with the proper size

Always go a long 5mm SDS has no blowout then you've got your mark on the outside and drill back in seems to work well

Use a 5mm bit to drill a pilot hole then send the big boy through from the outside so you know exactly where to go
