I inherited a room with a cabinet full of tissues. When I say full I mean floor to ceiling. The previous teacher gave bonus for tissues with words defined on the box.

a retiring teacher gave me all her supplies during my student teaching. then my mentor gave me a huge stash of her books because she was changing grades. I was sincerely blessed my first year.

Love it! I took over a teacher’s (who wasn’t returning) room and she said “if I leave it, it’s yours because I’m not coming back to teaching for a while.” I said cool so I got rid of some stuff….
