I had my neighbors call for smoke in my windows (glad they did) but I had just burned tf out of some cookies b/c I was distracted by my dog getting a toy stuck in his mouth and choking.

I was on a lake once, called in a huge cloud of dark smoke too big to be a controlled burn. dispatcher didn't believe me and said, " they'll send someone out to investigate". 1/2

I did have to call fire department once because the mulch outside the store I worked at started smouldering and then burst into flames. I did not, however, claim it was a massive brush fire!

Had a neighbor call in our fire in our fire pit out of spite and hate. They didn’t anticipate my dad being a firefighter, seeing the call come through his phone and calling dispatch to cancel it.

I grew up on a farm with a creek and filter strips running through the middle, we did controlled burns twice a year. Every time, the neighbors that moved in from Chicago called the fire department.
