Replying to @Dani 🌱🧿 Tonight, I’m honoring Rita Moreno, the legendary Puerto Rican trailblazer, activist, and EGOT winner who changed the course of Hollywood history. I recreated her iconic 1962 Oscar look, the night she won Best Supporting Actress for West Side Story, and I’m holding her Barbie doll wearing the same gown. Rita was one of the first Latina women I ever saw owning her power. Outspoken, confident, and unapologetically herself in a world that tried to silence women like her. She shattered ceilings long before “representation” was a buzzword. She showed generations of Latinas what was possible. Growing up, I wanted to be just like her: bold, caring, funny, and unafraid to take up space. And tonight, I wear this look as a little love letter to every mujer who’s ever been told to stay quiet. 💃🏽 Here’s to the ones who dare to be seen. Thank you @Women4Success for having me tonight. ✨
