My family was taught to just walk directly past our dog and ignore him if he peed when we entered the house. It was so sad but he did stop peeing 😅

My beagle-spitz mix also urinates while excited/happy when he was a pup. He always did this whenever he saw me or my parents, but he eventually grew out of it.

I know I dachshund that has this problem every time someone new comes and lets her she pees. I found out that you have to ignore her for the first minute. It’s hella hard cause she’s so cute

ours grew out of it at 8yo. we would get home and ru. outside to our balcony where the grass pad was and pet him there. so after a while he'd run to the grass when we'd get home
