It produces sharp, stabbing pain. It can turn into spinal stenosis that can cause sciatica. It also includes SIJ pain.  Disc Pain 😣: Discs are located in between each vertebrae. Disc pain occurs when the gel-filled discs between the bones in the spine bulge outwards and press on nerves. This can cause pain, numbness, or weakness, and can occur anywhere along the spine, but is most common in the lower back.The yellow, shown here, is the annulus (the strong outer ring) and the blue is the jelly.
