@flowhive_official: Did you know that bee larvae require feeding 1,300 times per day? New honeybee larvae hatch from an egg after three days, and eat almost constantly – it takes a lot of resources to grow to 1,500 times your original size! Not surprisingly, this means a pretty heavy workload for nurse bees who are responsible for inspecting the larvae, feeding and, eventually, capping their cells. Nurse bees visit developing larvae around 10,000 times over the 6 days of development, visits lasting between 30 seconds to 3 minutes. Considering the queen is capable of laying 2,000 eggs per day, that sure is a lot of hungry mouths to feed! #beefacts #beefact
