@peaceofconfectionery: 3 cups flour (sifted) 1 tbsp baking powder 3 cups sugar 1 cup salted butter (I used kerrygold) 1/2 cup shortening 5 eggs room temp 1 cup whole milk 6 tbsp lemon juice zest of 1 lemon Preheat your oven to 350 F in a bowl sift your flour, baking powder, and salt grab another bowl cream your butter, sugar and shortening until fluffy then begin adding your eggs one by one and make sure you scrap the sides gradually add your flour in 3 parts alternating with half of your milk beginning and ending with flour pour your batter inside your prepped baking dish and bake at 350 f for 55-70 minutes mine was finished at 60 minutes exactly avoid opening the oven as much as possible to prevent the cake from falling cool and enjoy 😊 #lemon #lemoncake #poundcake
