I’ve been looking back at all the itty bitty baby pics and a few pregnancy photos too. TBH, I hated being pregnant (don’t even get me started on the actual birth… that was HELL 😅). I was really fortunate to have a healthy pregnancy (minus a few hiccups), but I still hated the way it felt. Having struggled with an ED for most of my life and now dealing with pretty intense body dysmorphia, pregnancy was incredibly hard on me. I felt sick and exhausted daily (only threw up once, though?) but the mental and emotional toll was way worse. I couldn’t even look at myself in the mirror—watching my body change was rough. I barely took any pictures of myself during that time. These are some of the few I forced myself to take—mostly just to have one each month to look back on. And now? I’m so glad I have them. Even though I hated being pregnant, I’m forever grateful it brought me my Sophia 🤍
