Typical “Christians”. They’re not religious, they’re a cult.

Well they believe that being dark skinned is a punishment from god. I dunno how my indigenous relatives can be members of the church.

My parents put me in a public school (I live in Utah) after I had issues at a catholic school, they expected a non religious education. In 4th grade there was a mandatory field trip to this is the place, there was also a mandatory music recital where I had to sing a song about the Mormons being the first in Utah and being the “Heroes” of Utah. There was an openly trans kid who was bullied ruthlessly and a teacher had 2 kids removed from his class for verbal and physical violence towards 2 different autistic kids

This honestly tallies with my experience growing up in SE Idaho. My guidance counselor told me "don't worry about math, you're just going to get married." I'm not even Mormon!

All appropriate when your god conveniently feels the same way you do about issues.

I grew up Mormon in UT, my kids are growing up non-mo in UT. I have so much trauma from the church, but I don't know which of us has been treated worse by the church. 💔 They have a couple truly lovely Mormon friends, but for the most part, the Mormon kids are sinister, nasty, conniving little bullies with parents who don't actually even like their kids, they're just a prop to show they're being good dutiful Mormons. We're trying so hard to get out of this state.

I’m Italian and moved to Utah for my Dads job as a teenager and I lasted 2 months in a very heavily Mormon school before I asked my parents to ship me back to Italy to stay with my Nonna.
