You can add Hershey syrup to darken it! And I personally like using gel cake dye cause it's more pigmented, but it will stain like crazy lol!

I've done this before for sfx makeup, but I used strawberry syrup for like strawberry milk or whatever. Tasted better and it was already red so I didn't have to use as much coloring.
